The international Symposium on Medical Imaging in Clinical Environment will be organised in VIRTUAL mode by Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering, Visvesvaraya National Institute of Technology during February 8 – 13, 2021. This even will be sponsored by Centre of Excellence (Combedded Systems), VNIT,[https://vnit.ac.in/ece/index.php/centre-of-excellence-vnit]

This symposium will focus on different aspects of medical imaging in clinical environment. The primary objective of this symposium is to introduce and expose the aspiring researchers and interested students to different aspects of medical imaging in clinical environment as well as to the related research activites in different international research institutions/universities. Renowned academicians/researchers from internationally acclaimed universities/research institutes will deliver lectures in different topics related to medical imaging. There will three primary focus areas: A: Functional Imaging (fMRI, Photoacoustic Imaging) B: Medical Image reconstruction (MR/CT image reconstruction) C: Automatic disease identification from Medical Image/Videos (Polyp detection in Colonoscopy videos). Besides these primary focus areas, there will be several other lectures in other topics related to medical imaging. This symposium will be highly beneficial to aspiring researchers in medical imaging including faculties as well as students at all levels (B. Tech./M. Sc./M. Tech./Ph.D./Medical students).

Centre of Excellence (CoE) on Commbedded Systems: Hybridization of Communication and Embedded Systems, at Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering, Visvesvaraya National Institute of Technology (VNIT) Nagpur is established under Technical Education Quality Improvement Program (TEQIP- II) in the year October, 2013. Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering is a major participant in the venture.
